| "Capnella is probably my favorite of the commonly acquired 'softie' category. I've had the specimen in image 1 for about two years. It has grown to nearly twice its original size since I placed it in it's current location, very near the bottom of the tank, in moderate current. When I had it higher (I was told these guys liked a lot of light), it stayed tightly contracted most of the time. Now it has another problem: My Sohal Tang. For some reason, that fish simply LOVES to nip at the tips of this coral. I don't think it's actually being eaten as I never see any real damage to the piece but quite naturally it again stays contracted during most of the day. Opens at night while irritant fish is asleep. | |||
