frags, this piece should need no introduction. To the rest of us however,
this is a piece of Steve Tyree’s Limited Edition ‘Original
Purple Monstor’ (sic). If you’d like to know a bit more regarding
the provenance of this coral, I’ll direct you to Steve’s website

Of course, I didn’t acquire it because of all that; I just thought
it was cool and unusual. Right now, it is placed about midway the tank
under bright but not intense light and moderate, random water flow. Also,
as I’d been waiting for this one awhile, I even built it it’s
own little live rock ledge to help ensure no harassment from a more established
neighbor. Touted as a very slow grower, I’ll keep you apprised of
