| "Here is one of the reasons I don't attempt IDs with Acros. This is an example of either A. solitaryensis or A. efflorescens; I've had proponents of both camps argue vigorously about this. It was also a hot topic on the reef boards for awhile and apparently ended without consensus. Whatever it is, I accquired it in 10/01 through Steve Tyree at Dynamic Ecomorphology. It shipped very well and came in at about 2" in diameter. It is now approximately 3" in diameter and encrusting the rock surrounding it quickly. I AM a tad disappointed in it's failure to really 'color up' so far though, as I've seen some wonderfully colored specimens in similar light to mine. I mean, you'd think with all the controversy surrounding it's name, the least it could do is blush a little". | |||
