State
of the Tank: (cont.) |
|
|
despite my trials
and tribulations in getting it mounted
(see last month)! The branches have
turned much more golden brown but the
polyps are still deep purple . |
Also,
like last month, I found myself having
to do a little rearranging and cutting
back here and there. One example is
our having to move one of the A.
rosarias (Acro #36b) from
under the Staghorn Jungle canopy. This
was extremely awkward and required
the use of a hacksaw blade but I thought
it was well worth it as these are some
especially beautiful corals . |
But beside those few issues, everything else seems well with the tank. And because of that, I thought I’d wrap up this last update of 2004 with some new growth shot images. If feedback is any indication, this one of the most popular sections of the entire site and everyone always asks for new pics. Well, if I could make ‘em grow faster, folks, I would (actually, I wouldn’t) so I try to bring you updates when there’s a real difference. This time, there are a lot of real differences and several new entries so be sure to check out that section before leaving. |
There are also a couple new things in the Photography section too GO!. As always, I am happy to send higher res photos of any shot requested but I‘d appreciate it if those of you who wish to use them commercially would contact me here first. |
|
And
with that, I’d like to wish
everyone a Happy, Healthy, and
Prosperous 2005 and the same for
your tanks. My only resolution
is that I’m gonna try to
do these updates monthly from now
on so I don’t fall so far
behind again…And to use
a ‘friendlier’ photo
of myself in the Me section (‘Man,
I’ve been getting
KILLED for that’)…And,
oh yeah, and to not add more corals
to the tank…again. Of course,
it would help if you guys would
stop posting that cherry stuff
all over the web. I mean, you know
how we are, right?

Happy New Year first of all. At the request of my six year old daughter and (behaviorally speaking) her six year mommy, I spent New Years Eve at a bowling alley this year. The place was packed, with most of the patrons looking as if 'well heck, where ELSE would I be? It's New Years Eve!" And, as if on cue, then disco bowling started. Now, I don't have anything against bowling or the people who bowl. But this is New Year's Eve. And if you are an adult, you simply CANNOT volunteer to go bowling on New Year's friggin' Eve! Stay home. Go to bed. Watch WWE's 'New Year's Nastiest Chair Shots To The Face' or something. But, come on people. New Year's Eve? I mean, where are we going on Valentines Day, skeet shootin'?
Anyway, my daughter (and my wife) had a really good time so I guess I should take that and be happy.
