State of the Tank: (cont.) |
|
Acro #57 : A turaki: This was yet another of the corals I saw posted on RC that made me crazy. It is also another of the corals that is marketed under the name 'enchinata'. It develops a very lovely and graceful corralite structure as it grows. Midtank, direct lighting, good flow
Acro #58: We're not really sure what this is. It's quite possibly a frag of Atlantis Aquarium's version of Tyree's Purple 'Monstor' but it still has a bit of growing to do before anyone can be sure.
And speaking of Tyree...
'Alien Eye' Branching Echinopora: I was actually first on Steve's LE list to get a piece of this. And it was quite the generous frag too. It is placed a bit higher than I thought best for echinos but supposedly, this one can take it. Will probably have to be moved if it takes root here and grows quickly.
Aquarium City Pink Polyped Montipora: Okay, you'll have to trust me on this but once this piece establishes itself, it is going to be stunning. Of course, if you can't wait, you can go to Tyree's website and see for yourself right now. Mine is in the lower third of the tank under direct light and moderate flow. |

[Marc: Please place the following under Acanthastrea in the 'LPS' section]
'Orange Crush' Acanthastrea subenchinata: This was yet another one of the California 'must haves' this year. Pretty, but not very different from the other acans I maintain. This one is placed under the shelf of my 'World's Ugliest Efflo' and therefore receiving mostly indirect lighting and slow to moderate flow. From Atlantis Aquarium.
Obviously, I'm reaching the point of being very much overcrowded again but just when I think it would be almost cruel to add another single living organism, someone (most likely from Germany) will post a nano with nearly as much stuff as I have and it's all doing wonderfully.
Well, I hope all this new stuff does wonderfully. It would be nice to just settle back again, watch things grow, and take a few creative pictures from time to time.

It has finally come to my attention that I haven't mentioned anything regarding my fish in several months now. This is because they've been doing fairly well and I haven't added to them in over a year. |
