State of the Tank: (cont.)
September Update 2005:Fish (cont.)
Well, the time may be coming. At last count, I am down to 5 Bartletts Anthias, 3 Olive Anthias, and 5 Green Chromis. All four Tangs are doing well, as well as my Butterfly, Hawkfish, and, of course, my evil Pseudochromis.

As soon as the tank settles down, the plan is to restock the Anthias population and maybe even add a few of a different species...then look for an Angel; maybe Genecanthus or a small Red Sea Regal, which has been the object of my latest piscine crush. After quarantine, I'm thinking I can give it another week in my frag holding tank and if there's no 'picking' going on there, it would be good to go.
I am still unable to maintain any of my very favorite fish, fairy wrasse, due to the longevity of the pseudo. The same holds true with hogfish or firefish. I'd still maybe try another Crosshatch Triggerfish if I could find a small pair but that's quite a wait I'm told. I WILL find a suitable Regal though. I just haven't had time to really look.

And speaking of having no time, I do apologize for the lateness of this month's and probably next month's update. I also apologize if there are sections of the update that may be even more grammatically incorrect than usual or outright nonsensical. The reason? This is Rufus, our brand new Chocolate Lab. At this writing, he is almost 10 weeks old and I am in the process of housebreaking him

through crate training. This means I'm averaging about 5 hours of sleep a night and even that is interrupted twice for 'walkies'. I am also temporarily housing a few in-laws who were displaced by Hurricane Katrina. But I'm still gonna be getting these updates out to you because it helps keep me sane...or at least, in the ballpark. So, as usual, if you have any questions, corrections, or information, please don't stop sending your emails.

I am positive that I'm forgetting something this month but, oh well... I'll have it together again soon. Have a great day. Time for walkies.
October 2005

I'd like to begin this month's reeftank update by briefly discussing my dog. For those of you who don't know, last month I became the proud owner of a Chocolate Lab puppy that we named Rufus.
