State of the Tank: (cont.)
March 2006: (cont.)

I don't know much about them except Acro 62 is called the 'Tony Vargas Acro' and was tabling in the big tank. The other one was just pretty and I've never been able to keep one of these baby blue colored stags alive so I figured why not? Everything else continues to be stable and with the exception of some minor moves, there are few physical differences. Acro #16, for instance, is in the refugium until I can find another suitable place for it. We left everything else alone until I got back.

Aaaannnnd that's about it this month for corals. It's also about it for this month's update. Next month's should be a bit more normal. And, yes I AM working on the Maintenance & Husbandry revision. Just give me a little more time. However, if you have any questions, I usually get back pretty quickly so don't be shy unless you're completely insane. In that case, please do mull it over.

Finally, on a personal note, John Griffin of Winterville, NC: Please email me. The address you left in my book doesn't work. Thanks.

And to everyone else, I'll see you next month. Hopefully with very little to say.

Well, you know what I mean.

Michael

April 2006:

Not a whole lot to talk about this month, thank goodness, as once again everything has been running smoothly and without incident. Got back from my cross- country excursion during the second week of the month to find that Ray had done his usual exemplary job in maintaining the tank, equipment, and livestock. He DID lose a couple of female Bimaculatus Anthias while in the fuge, bringing their number down to 5 (with 1 the male) but considering what it took to assemble the shoal in the first place, the losses were not too unexpected. More on them (and pics) a little later.

But first, for those who've asked (read: nagged), no I have not forgotten about my Husbandry & Maintenance rewrite. In fact, that part is just about finished. The problem is that, after going over everything, I have concluded that several other sections need updating too so this has slowed me down a bit. I know this has taken longer than expected but when it's done, you guys will be in for one heck of an update.

A few of you have also written in to ask me how the battle with my little algae outbreak is coming along. Actually, very well, thank you. But then, there is quite a united front doing the fighting with it these days.
