Fish (cont.) |
Copperband
Butterfly This was my original
CB acquired from The Marine Center
last year. Unfortunately, due to a
FedEx problem, it came in late and
its water was pretty cold. Never seemed
to recover from that and, though it
began eating for a while, died about
a month later. |
Crosshatch
Triggerfish: This one didn't
even make the flyout page. Got it in
November '03 and introduced him
to the reeftank three weeks later.
Was doing great although seemed extremely 'nervous'.
Swam back and forth constantly along
the back of the tank. I never saw anything
bother it. Then one day I found it
had jumped from the tank and had landed
in a bucket of bleach solution in which
I was soaking one of my filter socks.
NOT an ideal way to start a morning. |
Heniochus:
Returned to the LFS after successfully
eating Aiptasia but then dining on
my yellow polyps. |
Peppermint
Hogfish: My second attempt at keeping
this fish was concluded by discovering
it had jumped through my eggcrate and
baked to death under the lights. Because
this fish and my Sohal had formed such
a strange yet close bond, I fully expected
Atilla to go through some kind of personality
issues due to this occurrence but so
far, nothing. This convinces me without
a doubt, that Atilla is a male. |

the way, my Pseudo was last seen speeding
away from the incident in a late model
sedan with fake license plates. |
Wrasse
(Flame) Chased from the tank and murdered by the Pseudo in '03.
Until it goes, that was my last attempt at keeping either Wrasse or Hogfish which,
of course, are two of my favorites.

| Not
many changes in this category; just
a couple new additions to the zoanthids
section (and, no, they're not
ready to be fragged yet). |
Mushrooms
Well,
we're winning the war against
the invasive (naughty) shrooms finally.
Ray has discovered that injecting then
with a product called pH Down really
makes them unhappy. We're also
finding a simple snip with the scissors
does wonders too. It's a long
while before they return. As far as
the non invasive (good) shrooms, all
are faring pretty well. The Purple
Rhodactis have REALLY multiplied from
the original 2-3 I purchased a couple
years ago and the Greens, though
in constant battle with the zoos, are
still hanging tough though not multiplying
as quickly . |
Rhodactis
sp. 3 (NEW) : Actually, these
aren't very new. I got them nearly
a year ago and forgot to include them
in the last update so here |
