"Next to the large Frogspawn, this is the coral that gets the most notice... especially from non-reefers, although most aren't sure whether it's a living entity or not. I've had it about 2 1/2 years now. Over that time it has grown considerably and at full expansion it is about the size of a salad plate. As real estate gets more and more scarce (yeah, I know), this is becoming a bit of a problem and I've already had to sell off two other Cynarinas to make room. But because of the unusual coloration, I'll stick with this one as long as I can. Currently, it's about midway the tank in a little cove so I'd call the lighting moderate and somewhat indirect. I haven't been target feeding it, assuming it plucks fish food from the water column but as I don't think it's been expanding quite as fully as it used to, I may start. But first...um, just how big do these guys get anyway?"
