Acro #1 : Fragged way back during the Feb. overhaul. I mounted this one horizontally as the branch I kept was pretty much growing that way anyhow. Encrusted its 'base' fairly quickly but still not the swiftest of growers. Its tips have gotten a bit more blue in the last few months. Completely unaffected by the CS/IO episode.

Acro #2 : Fragged way back during Feb. overhaul. There have been reports that frags of this piece continued their unusually gnarly growth patterns once placed in other tanks; especially when mounted far from the light source. The growth rate of my piece is still pretty fast. Unaffected by the CS/IO episode.

Acro #3 : Not fragged. Not affected by the CS/IO episode. This piece has really taken off since Acro #2, which was shading it, has been moved. Not only that but it is also turning a deep purple from its former grayish-tan. Currently involved in a 'battle' with Acro #8 for dominance on its base rock. As both have heavily encrusted it, I've chosen to let nature take its course unless either shows extreme signs of stress.
Acro #4 : One of the first corals to bleach after the switch to CS. Fragged and
stable. No real evidence of growth yet but this one always seemed slow. Maintains it's lovely dark purple color.

Acro #5 : No bleaching during the Episode, thank goodness, as this is one of my
favorites. During the Feb. overhaul, a small piece was “donated” to the show tank of my LFS where, under 400W MHs, Radiums, and even a few hours of natural sunlight, it doesn’t look nearly as good, IMO. Its growth rate is much faster however. Meanwhile, its daughter
colony here has grown to nearly the size of its parent, though still not quite as blue.
Acro #6 : This piece bleached out late last year. See Spring ’03 Update.
Acro #7 Unaffected by the Episode (unlike its daughter colony, unfortunately) and as yet unfragged, this ol’ trooper is really becoming another favorite of mine. It has been moved almost everywhere and has encrusted its base wherever it has landed. Currently in the lower midlevel of the tank, it has lost a bit of its blue undertone and is growing more slowly.
Acro #8 It was too tough to bleach during the CS/IO episode yet I’m not tough enough to frag it. It has meanwhile become one of the most frustrating acros in the tank. As you can see, it grows like a weed, nearly attaining coffee saucer size right now (and completely shading out everything underneath it, by the way) but it still adamantly refuses to
