Tank update: Fish (cont.)

Hawkfish Go!
No changes. As my websites mascot, I'm thinking about throwing open a "name the Flamehawk" contest for you guys. I'll decide by next update. What do you think? Is my life really that over?

Heniochus Go!
Gone. Not dead, just caught and traded back to my LFS after doing an excellent job ridding the tank of Aiptasia…which was exactly what he was brought in to do. So why, you ask, did I remove him then? Because I'm an idiot. Actually, I let myself get frightened at the possibility of the fish doing damage to my zoanthids and corals by listening to the gasps and machinations of the few reefer acquaintances. Of course, a couple weeks after removing him, I began to see signs of the pest anemones making a come back so this time I'm trying the Copperband.
Hogfish Go!
Well, one day my little Twinspot is swimming along just like it's done everyday since I got him then the next day, gone! Vanished. No dried husk on the floor, no unrecognizable carcass under a mass of feeding hermits. No 'floater'. No nothing. They used to call these things 'bummers'. I'm not sure I want to know what they're referred to as now…probably something with the words george bush in it.

Still though, this was pretty traumatic as I'd really come to like the little guy and his swift and gliding movements around the various
coral and live rock. A couple weeks later I was on the phone with my LFS regarding a totally different matter when I brought up the odd
disappearance. Then almost sheepishly, and in a truly sincere (I believe) effort to make me feel better came, "Well, we just got in a
Peppermint Hog". Yes, it cost me an armload of frags, but you've got to admit some people just always know the right thing to say.

Pseudochromis Go!
No changes. Still mean. Perhaps committed another murder (see Wrasse).
Tangs Go!
No real changes. The Sohal is picking on the Purple Tang more and more frequently now so I'm trying to remove it (the Purple) before it gets hurt. He seems to ignore the other two for some reason although at feeding time he won't let anyone get near the nori stone until he's had his fill. Then again, I shouldn't say 'anyone' because the truth is, there IS one fish he'll give Carte Blanche to and it's the oddest pairing I've ever seen: It's the Peppermint Hogfish. Now, you may think I'm making this up but I think my Sohal and my Hogfish are in love. They swim around together like old friends, they share nori off the feeding stone (the Sohal would kill any other tankmate that would try this), and I've yet to see a territorial
