Tank update: Fish (cont.)

dispute (or any other kind, actually) between the two. I realize many of you aren't believing this. So to the skeptics, the doubters, and the just plain old fuddy-duddy's among you, check THIS out!. Apologies accepted. Oh! One other thing: My "Kole-ish" Tang has finally been properly identified.Go! It is a Fine Lined Bristletooth (thanks, Mike "Kahuna Tuna" Hahn). This fish is also identified in Rudie H. Kuiter and Helmut Debelius' book, Surgeon fishes, Rabbitfishes and their Relatives p. 74. Another one down

Wrasse Go!
Wanna hear a saga? Okay, remember my female Hawaiian Flame Wrasse? Remember I mentioned how I got her as a mate for my male Flame Wrasse who then summarily jumped to his death awhile back? Remember I also told you the story of HER subsequent disappearance only to discover, after nearly a month, hat she had been holed up in one of my overflows? Well, finally I got her another male…which of course meant a few days later she decides to kill herself! How? She actually jumped THROUGH my eggcrate tank covering to bake herself to death under my Halides. Now I ask you, what the hell must you be so afraid of that it could make you do jump through a protective barrier to your death? Yeah, the Pseudo didn't know either. But it gets better. I put out word that I needed a new female Flame Wrasse. Then just a couple days ago,

I find the MALE on the floor, dead, after having jumped through the eggcrate. Needless to say, I am done with Hawaiian Flame Wrasse but I put a picture of the male up anyway just to see what a pair WOULD'VE looked like. They're in the 'Other Fishes I Have Known' sub-category, by the way. Go! Speaking of which:

Other Fish Go!
The Cirrhilabrus sp. Wrasse has been properly identified as C. rhomboidalis by John Cummings, Tom Berry and…um, "Al".

Clams Go!
Both gone!!! Again, not dead but traded back to my LFS. The reason was the need for real estate; both were being shaded out by corals and they were really beginning to suffer. Clams are about the only reason I wish I had a sand bed. But as it is, I was forced to place them high onto my rockwork which made this event inevitable I suppose.
Gorgonians Go!
Gone. Danged things. Never had any luck with them anyway. Maybe I'll try one in the refug… nope, nope, forget I said that. Let's move on.
Misc. Go!
