Tank
update: SPS (cont.) |
Merulina Go!
No changes. Will have to be moved soon. New Growth Pic |
Montipora Go!
Some changes here. The pinkish M. Capricornis has been in a race for its life
against an advancing hoard of Zoanthids. The
little purple digitata was taken out by the aforementioned Hydnophora. The
efflorescence, which has already
gone through one color change, is beginning to go through another one. Also,
in pretty major news (to me), two of the other Montis have now been identified:
Montipora sp #1 ("The Thing") has
been identified as M. Hispida and #2 is M. peltiformis. My
thanks go out to 'Jason' for this information although I may still refer to
the hispida as "The Thing". |
Pachyseris Go!
This guy isn't doing too well. Very slowly bleaching on the 'shaded' side.
Will either be moved or removed. |
Pavona Go!
No changes although I'm constantly fighting mushrooms that are hellbent
on smothering it. |
Pocillopora Go!
No changes. |
Porites Go!
No changes. |
|
Sandalolitha Go!
No changes…apparently ever! |
Stylophora Go!
No real changes though vigorous growth is causing encroachment problems. |
Turbinara Go!
Becoming more and more shaded by the acro above it. Will definitely be
moved soon. |
|
Blastomussa Go!
I will soon have to frag the merleti #3 colony to save it from a rapidly
multiplying hoard of invading majano anemones. Everything else is fine. |
Caulastrea Go!
No changes. |
Cynarina Go!
I finally had to give this piece up as it simply outgrew it's allotted
space and began to decline. Once I overhaul this tank (but that's
the NEXT update), I plan to get another one of these corals…hopefully
every bit as spectacular. |
Euphyllia Go!
E. paradivisa 2 will have to soon be moved as it is being shaded form above
by another coral. |
